Join Itron in West Union, SC to support on-site HR operations. This growing strategic manufacturing site is seeking an Human Resources Business Partner Associate to assist in day-to-day site HR operations, people programs and compliance.

Duties & Responsibilities


  • Maintain HRIS system with personnel data, analysis and reporting, including electronic personnel files for state required compliance
  • Delivers new hire orientation and employee recognition programs for manufacturing hourly employees
  • Performs routine tasks required to administer and execute human resource programs including but not limited to compensation, benefits, and leave; disciplinary matters; disputes and investigations; performance and talent management; productivity, recognition, and morale; occupational health and safety; and training and development
  • Coordinates and implements internal job interview process, and local employee questions
  • Champion positive employee relations, engagement, inclusion and diversity
  • Participate in the development of staffing plans to meet operational requirements and provide data analysis and metrics
  • Reviews, tracks, and documents compliance with mandatory and non-mandatory training, continuing education, and work assessments for South Carolina E-Zone program
  • Oversee background checks and employee eligibility verifications for manufacturing hourly employees
  • Handles employment-related inquiries from applicants, employees, and supervisors, referring complex and/or sensitive matters to the appropriate staff
  • Supports employee disciplinary meetings, terminations, and investigations
  • Maintains compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews policies and practices to maintain compliance
  • Maintains knowledge of trends, best practices, regulatory changes, and new technologies in human resources, talent management, and employment law

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in HR or related discipline
  • Ability to present information, both written and verbally, in a clear and concise and professional manner
  • Experience using related workplace applications: MS Office Suite, Sharepoint or related systems
  • Ability to understand and follow regulations, compliance and related workplace laws and policies
  • Ability to conduct business professionally while handling sensitive and confidential information
  • Able to collaborate, communicate and support a wide audience of employee stakeholders

Preferred Skills & Experience

  • Related work experience
  • Exposure to using HCM and people systems, such as PeopleSoft and Oracle
