Hyster-Yale Group, Inc. (HYG), a world-class manufacturer of tailored forklift, attachment, and fuel cell solutions, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented HR Business Partner located in Greenville, NC.
The HR Business Partner is responsible for implementing effective and consistent delivery of Human Resources programs and services to their organizational partners. This position requires a clear and comprehensive understanding of the link between HR and business strategy. This position will develop and execute clear, actionable steps in support of an overall business strategy.
The HR Business Partner will provide the following key responsibilities:
  • Business Strategy & Support: Assisting business leaders in identifying, prioritizing, and building organizational capabilities, behaviors, structures, and processes. Assist with forecasting and planning talent pipeline requirements. Facilitate short-term and long-term initiatives aligned with strategic agenda.
  • Engagement with other functional areas: Collaborate with Talent Acquisition on the recruiting process to attract, select, train, develop, promote, and maintain high potential employees. Work with Learning & Development to promote employee growth.
  • Performance Management and Organizational Development: Assist business leaders identify and provide employees with development opportunities and ensure that they are able to meet current and future performance standards. Provide expert advice and coaching to managers and employees when appropriate.
  • Training & Development: Based on feedback from the business, initiate training and development plans based on current needs, succession planning and employee career/development plans.
  • Knowledge of HR key trends: Provide job analysis and position description recommendations to Corporate Compensation and Benefits. Review and benchmark the internal and external environment to improve HR policies.
  • Other HR Support: Manage specific projects as determined within the HR operational plan and participate in functional and cross-functional initiatives.
The ideal HR Business Partner candidate will have the following minimum qualifications:
  • Bachelor’s degree and above in business administration, HR management, or related field; or, a combination of extensive related experience and education.
  • Master’s degree preferred.
  • Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in a strategic HR role is preferred.
  • Solid HR functional competency across various HR functions.
  • Ability to develop creative ideas into something practical and workable.
  • Partners with broader HR functions.
  • Shows business acumen by understanding customers and markets to operations and financial points.
  • Capable of influencing business leaders to drive HR initiatives.
  • Ability to work efficiently in matrixed organization.
  • Working knowledge of employment law and industry best practices.
  • Manufacturing industry experience preferred.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
