REPORTS TO: Human Resources Manager
FLSA: Exempt
HOURS: Full-time
Position Summary
The Human Resources Assistant is responsible for the administrative support of the day-to-day operations of the HR Department. This position requires a resourceful, highly responsible and pro-active team player who is comfortable interacting with persons at all levels. The right candidate will have experience in human resources processes and general office procedures.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide courteous and efficient customer service to employees
- Answer phone and greet visitors to the HR department
- Set appointments and arrange interviews
- Prepare new employee files
- Maintain current HR files and databases
- Assist employees and supervisors with basic interpretation of HR policies and procedures
- Respond to requests for verification of employment
- Assist with onboarding and new-employee orientations
- Directly support the HR Manager with projects and tasks as instructed.
- Assist with Open Enrollment for Benefits and 401K Retirement Plan.
- Assist with Health Risk Assessment Program annually.
Other Requirements:
- Positive, enthusiastic, and flexible attitude.
- Team player mentality.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office; Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Outlook.
- Proficient in HRIS software, ADP preferred Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources or related field preferred.
- PHR or SHRM-CP Certification preferred.
- 1-2 years of Human Resources experience required.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Must be able to prioritize and plan work activities as to use time efficiently
- Experience working in a production/manufacturing environment a plus
