MSRC is seeking an energetic and resourceful Human Resources Administrator (HRA) to work in our Concord, CA or Everett, WA location. The successful candidate will provide HR leadership for the Pacific Region and be part of a professional, team-oriented Human Resources group. The Pacific Region employees are based in California, Hawaii, Oregon, and Washington. The position reports to the Pacific Region Vice President and works in conjunction with Corporate Director of Human Resources.

Key responsibilities of the position:

• Demonstrate leadership and provide subject-matter expertise in implementing MSRC’s HR initiatives, including performance management, employee development, employee relations, and recruiting and retention efforts.
• Support and execute Spill Response efforts, when required, including mobilizing personnel and ensuring related transactional information is captured correctly.
• Manage frequent, detailed employee transactions throughout the employee lifecycle, in accordance with company policies, guidelines, and applicable federal, state laws, and local regulations.
• Cultivate efficient recruitment sources, interview process, and candidate selection.
• Develop strong relationships across leadership team and become a trusted advisor to employees.
• Display high levels of integrity, confidentiality, and discretion in professional relationships and behaviors.

Requirements of the Successful Candidate

• Bachelor’s Degree in human resources management or related discipline preferred.
• 7+ years’ experience in Human Resources.
• Demonstrated ability to manage hands-on detailed transactions supporting the employee lifecycle.
• Working knowledge of HR practices and trends including practical experience with California HR regulations.
• In the event of an emergency spill response, the ability to promptly support the work is required.
• Occasional travel to other MSRC locations, estimated at approximately 10-15% of time.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent communication skills at all levels.
• Current technical skills across a variety of on-line platforms.
• Exceptional organizational skills with an ability to prioritize important projects.
• Advanced MS Office skills, HRIS expertise (UltiPro a plus).
• PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP or SHRM-SCP certification preferred.
