The University of Virginia Human Resources Department seeks an HR Recruiting Coordinator in the Health System. The Talent Recruitment team directly supports customers in a variety of ways. As a key component of the Recruitment team, the Coordinator must have exceptional customer service skills and the ability to operate in a fast-paced and complex environment.

HR Coordinators support the recruitment process, completing a variety of recruitment-related operations from requisition preparation and application processing, including ensuring compliance. HR Coordinators must have exceptional written, verbal and organizational skills. The incumbent works efficiently as part of a team as well as independently. Also necessary is the ability to proactively communicate with hiring managers and candidates. Excellent organizational and time management skills are a must. The Coordinator is also able to adapt to changing priorities, handle sensitive information with discretion and confidentiality, and follow set policies and procedures. Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel, and HR Systems is required.

Responsibilities include:
  • Coordinating new hire process and providing hiring support.
  • Acting as first point of contact with employees and supervisors on HR-related inquiries. Apply judgment and discretion to HR issues and concerns; direct any complex issues to more senior HR staff.
  • In addition to the above job responsibilities, other duties may be assigned.


UVA Human Resources is located in Charlottesville, VA. This position Is open to full-time remote work. UVA Human Resources is team and partnership oriented. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS

Education: High School diploma; a Bachelor's degree is highly preferred
Experience: One year of prior HR experience.
Licensure: None

PHYSICAL DEMANDS

This is primarily a sedentary job involving extensive use of desktop computers. The job does occasionally require traveling some distance to attend meetings, and programs.

The successful candidate will pass a background check and a health screen.
