As an HR Generalist, this role is responsible for answering employee questions regarding HR policies and procedures, and refers to HR Business Partner or NSC HR as needed. This position coordinates recruiting avenues working with HR Business Partner and/or NSC, managing the evaluation of candidates through the corporate candidate application system (SmartRecruiters) and makes recommendations to hiring managers. Additionally, the Sr. HR Specialist conducts the scheduling of interviews, new hire orientations, and HR events, as well as supports the HR Business Partner and NSC with benefits open enrollment, ensures job descriptions are up to date, facilitates and supports FLSA audits, maintains career mapping, supports the annual review process to ensure quality of inputs and adherence to schedules, administers and maintains HR activities, training, and programs; such as staffing, compensation, and employee issues.

• Provides day-to-day guidance in HR polices to team members, managers, and supervisors

• Manages Job Descriptions – ensuring they are current and accurate for all employees
• Provides assessment of the job criteria to the company(s) career map, which must be properly maintained and updated
• Coordinates the recruiting, onboarding, promotion, and exit processes
• Conducts salary evaluations against internal and external databases
• Works with local HR and NSC HR to insure proper evaluation and documentation is completed for candidates and new hires in a timely fashion
• As requested and directed from the NSC, maintains compliance with federal and state regulations concerning employment
• Conducts exit interviews using the exit tool provided by the NSC for all US BU’s and assess reasons talented people leave, provide assessments to management
• Prepares Personnel Action Request (PARs) forms for all requirements
• Manages the business metrics for attrition rates and provides monthly assessments
• Conducts new-employee orientations to ensure employees gain an understanding of benefits plans and enrollment provisions
• Conducts trainings on updated HR policies
