Barnhart Transportation and Affiliates are growing and looking for a full-time HR Generalist to join our team in our Moncks Corner, SC office. As a HR Generalist you will be responsible for working with our HR Director and Recruiter to conduct training, onboarding, assist with recruitment and be a resource for our employees in our South Carolina office.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Works with Recruiter to help with recruiting needs in our South Carolina offices
• Conducts new employee and owner operator orientation to foster a positive attitude toward company goals
• Implement company culture, values, and policies
• Independently perform and make decisions based on management reccomendations
• Maintains a high level of confidentiality and professionalism in dealing with all levels of employees
• Gain a full understanding of our comprehensive benefit package to assist employees with enrollement and ongoing questions
• Foster a positive work enviroment through creating employee engagement and retention plans
• Works with HR Director to ensure planning, monitoring, and appraisal of employee work results by training managers to coach and discipline employees; scheduling management conferences with employees; hearing and resolving employee grievances; counseling employees and supervisors; advises management of appropriate resolution of employee relations issues
• Working with management to evaluate employee performance evaluations and ensure evaluations are completed timely
• Other duties may be assigned

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor's Degree in Business administration; preferably with a Human Resource concentration
• 1-3 years of working in Human Resources
