Provides administrative support to human resources programs and management within an assigned area.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Maintains up-to-date, accurate employee records.
  • Performs administrative support duties, supporting Greif managers and projects as requested.
  • Prepares and/or processes paperwork, including but not limited to the attendance program, employee reimbursements, hearing test records, grievance files, leaves of absence, sickness/accident claims, retirements and terminations.
  • Completes new hire and benefit processing and conducts orientation. Acts as initial contact for benefit claims questions. Assists in screening employment applications.
  • Coordinates interviews, physical examinations and background checks as requested.
  • May assist in the coordination of employee events.
  • May process payroll.
  • May fill in for, assist or interface with other plant support functions including, but not limited to answering telephones, data entry, filing and tracking of information, accounts payable, ordering supplies and receiving visitors.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience

  • Typically possesses high school diploma (or equivalent) and 1-3 years of experience.

Knowledge and Skills

  • General knowledge of Human Resource functions required.
  • Demonstrated skills in customer service, and verbal, written and mathematical skills.
  • Good understanding of Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Good attention to detail, and ability to maintain confidential information is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $34.00 per hour
