Job Description

Job Title: Human Resources Administrator - Morning shift Reports To: HR Director

Department: Human Resources

Basic Function: Source, qualify and onboard employees into identified job vacancies. Coordinate benefits programs, employee relations, and safety programs.

In the absence of the HR Administrator, the Human Resources Director will assume these responsibilities.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

The responsibilities of this position include:

o Employee Relations

Ø Serve as a liaison between employees and HR in addressing employee questions and concerns.

Ø Log SQF Training timely

o Total Rewards

Ø Assist employees with questions related to compensation, paid time off, benefits, etc.

Ø Coordinate the annual benefits open enrollment cycle.

Ø Identify and implement employee wellness initiatives.

o Talent Acquisition and Management

Ø Recruit, onboard, and orient lower to middle level talent as required to support business needs

Ø Benefit Administration

Ø Complete I-9 and E-Verify process as well as maintain proper storage of files.

Ø Assist with the implementation of employee engagement activities.

Ø Promoting attendance incentive program and follow

Ø Enforce GMPs and all Company policy and procedures

Ø Assist with the flow of first-90-days review process

Ø Data maintenance and Reporting

Ø Responsible for Unemployment Hearings and appeals

Ø Responsible to maintain DOT records and compliance (includes MVR’s and random drug screens as well as securing employer prior check forms)

Ø Create and maintain employee files.

Ø Execute the launch of an HRIS System to include onboarding (paperless)

Ø Conduct ongoing audits of files and system data to ensure data quality and integrity.

  • Safety Leader

Ø Assist with Incident investigation which includes but is not limited to employee & witness statements, interviews, photos and getting to the root cause (use Accident investigation Kit)

Ø Assist with electronic filing of OSHA required documents

Ø Recommend ways to prevent incidents from reoccurring

Ø Maintain a safety walk through log including action items and follow up to ensure completion of identified items timely

o Other duties as assigned.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

· 2+ years of HR generalist experience in an industrial manufacturing environment, including experience coordinating employee safety programs, FLSA leaves, and worker’s compensation claims.

· 4-year degree in Human Resources or equivalent gained through work experience.

· PHR or SHRM-CP certification is a plus.

· Bi-lingual English/Spanish

· Strong understanding and working knowledge of HR laws, principles and practices

· Exceptional detail-orientation and communication and organizational skills.

· Ability to perform independently at a high level.

· Proven ability to problem solves, work through issues with limited information, find efficiencies

· Computer skills - strong experience in Word, Excel, Power Point, etc.JD Edwards/Oracle,

· Formal presentation skills are a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
