Here at Roami - Vacation and Rental the Housekeeping Supervisorposition is a crucial part of our team in helping ensure our guests have a memorable experience by doing whatever it takes to provide a problem-free stay!
The primary responsibilities of the Housekeeping Supervisor will be through superb fieldwork, which includes (but is not limited to): maintaining the building to ensure a safe and clean experience for guests, associates and vendors. This position will also provide the housekeeping team with direction & support.
The Housekeeping Supervisor's performance will be based on your ability to complete tasks efficiently and without supervision, problem-solve independently, prioritize tasks, implement processes, and communicate effectively. Additionally, you can expect to do the following during your scheduled shifts:
  • Assist the Head of Housekeeping, with coordinating & supervising the housekeeping staff; providing open communication, training, coaching & counseling and providing performance feedback as needed.
  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of guest rooms, public areas and the back of the house to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Follow up and assign daily tasks to the housekeeping team to ensure the smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
  • Greet guests and visitors warmly and make them feel welcomed and attended.
  • Anticipate guests' needs in order to accommodate them and provide exceptional guest service.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Manage lost and found items, and answer inquiries to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Maintain inventory of Housekeeping supplies and ordered new stock as needed.
  • Comply with attendance rules and be available to work on a regular basis.
  • Perform any other job-related duties as assigned.
  • Maintain a professional appearance and manner at all times.
  • Can communicate well with guests.
  • Must be willing to "pitch in" and help co-workers with their job duties and be a team player. Assisting in other departments if needed.
  • Ability to stand, walk and/or sit and continuously perform essential job functions for the duration of shift with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Hearing and visual ability to observe and detect signs of emergency situations with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to perform tasks requiring bending, stooping, kneeling, and walking significant distances between and within buildings on the property with or without reasonable accommodation.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills. Ability to adapt communication style to suit different audiences, such as effectively communicating with supervisors, coworkers, the public, etc.

What We're Looking For:
  • Previous work experience in housekeeping is required. Hotel experience is strongly preferred.
  • Flexible schedule availability is required.
  • Organized, hardworking, ownership mentality and detail-oriented.
  • Understanding of how travel planning websites operate, like Booking.com, AirBnb, Trip Advisor, etc.
  • High energy, bubbly personality and customer service attitude.
  • Must have a service-oriented mindset and be capable of making every guest feel valued.
  • An ability to interact professionally and responsibly with guests, management and vendors.
  • A self-starter with a positive attitude, who has the ability to work effectively both in a team environment as well as independently.
  • Unintimidated by using mobile apps while in the field for team collaboration and communication (experience with Slack, and Google Suite).
  • Flexible schedule and is open to working evenings, weekends and holidays.
  • Use of a personal vehicle, valid Driver’s License, clean driving record, and proof of insurance are strongly preferred.
