Housekeeping staff are responsible to perform general housekeeping tasks in our Skilled Nursing facility.
DUTIES
- Assembles materials and supplies from the supply room and transports them to the work area.
- Cleans assigned areas by washing furnishings and equipment and mopping floors with special cleaning solutions and disinfectants
- Uses damp, disinfectant-treated cloths and vacuum cleaner to dust window sills, blinds, floors, furniture
- Cleans sinks, tubs, mirrors, and similar equipment
- Replenishes supplies of soap, towels, and other dispensable items
- Disposes of trash, washes wastebaskets and large refuse containers, and relines with plastic bags
- Clean spills or accidents in any areas as they occur
- Resident apartments: clean kitchen, bathroom, bedroom and living room
- Disinfects mattresses, dusts bed frames and nightstands
- Routinely checks cleaning list for possible changes in assignment
- Keep work areas free of hazardous conditions, spills, supplies and equipment
REQUIREMENTS
- Experience in housekeeping duties in a long-term care or hospital setting preferred
- Ability to read, write, speak and follow written and oral directions in the English language
