The Canopy DC Embassy Row Hotel is currently seeking a Housekeeper/Room Attendant who would be responsible for cleaning and maintaining all hotel guest rooms to meet established Hilton cleanliness and quality standards. Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Clean guest rooms as assigned, including, but not limited to, making beds, cleaning bathrooms, dusting and vacuuming
• Change and replenish bed linens, towels and guest amenities, as needed
• Ensure all rooms are cared for and inspected according to standard
• Adhere strictly to rules regarding health and safety and be aware of any company-related practices
• Perform deep cleaning tasks, as needed
• Stock, maintain and transport housekeeping supply cart on a daily basis
• Dispose of trash and recyclables
• Respond to special guest requests in a timely, friendly and efficient manner
• Perform guest turn down service, as needed

QUALIFICATIONS

• High School graduate or G.E.D. equivalent required.
• Experience in hospitality/hotel environment, a plus.
• Six months of Housekeeping experience preferred.
• Ability to communicate effectively with guests, the public and other employees.
• Read, write and speak English fluently.
• Ability to work a flexible schedule to include morning shift especially, weekends and holidays.
• Ability to multi task and work in a fast paced environment.
