We are currently seeking qualified candidates for the position of Executive Housekeeper. The Executive Housekeeper is responsible for the entire operation of the housekeeping department, according to the standards set forth by the employer. They must ensure maximum guest service while maintaining minimum costs. Qualified candidates must have a background in supervision/management in housekeeping or janitorial. Knowledge of hotel housekeeping procedures or similar industry, strong interpersonal and communication skills, general understanding of hotel operations is a plus. We are looking for individuals who have strong leadership and interpersonal skills, are able to prioritize and adapt to the changing needs of the operation, and has a solid work ethic, good business acumen and a passion for service

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Supervise and inspect the cleaning of the guest rooms, public areas and back of the house.
  • Ensure compliance with accident/loss prevention programs, SOPs, health/sanitation standards and regulations to achieve a high level of cleanliness and guest satisfaction.
  • Obtain list of vacant rooms that need to be cleaned and prospective rooms to prepare work assignments.
  • Assign workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards
  • Maintain rooms control procedures and reports discrepancies to General Manager by using the Rooms Discrepancy Daily Report.
  • Issue assignments to staff reviewing special requests and areas of concentration to ensure a smooth flow of the housekeeping operation.
  • Issue supplies/goods to staff at beginning of shift in order to control inventory and ensure proper supplies are available while controlling expenses.
  • Maintain all supplies and equipment.
  • Assist in monthly inventory and maintains the par level of inventory
  • Maintain the security of all housekeeping, maid and guest room keys at all times.
  • Document and communicate maintenance requests to maintenance department.
  • Respond to guest requests, concerns and problems to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Log items into the Lost and Found and answer inquiries to maintain controls and ensure guest satisfaction
  • Implement emergency training and procedures to ensure appropriate protection of the hotel, guest, staff and company assets.

Requirements:

Previous supervisory experience is required. Previous hotel housekeeping experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $18.00 per hour
