ESSENTIAL DUTIES:
  • Responsible for the day to day supervision, training, and scheduling of Front Desk I/II/III, Night Auditor, Reservations Agent for both The Skagit and The Ridge.
  • Ensures smooth operation of the Front Desk and its operations within budgetary guidelines, and as specified in standard operating procedures.
  • Assists Hotel Operations Manager in ensuring financial results and service standards in accordance with established policies, procedures, standards, and regulations to ensure safe and efficient hotel operations.
  • Schedules appropriate staff load for high occupancy and promotions/events. Monitors scheduling to minimize overtime.
  • Functions in capacity of Acting Hotel Manager in absence of Hotel Operations Manager.
ESSENTIAL QUALIFICATIONS:
  • Must be 21 years of age. High school diploma required
  • Certificate from accredited school in hotel/motel management preferred.
  • Five (5) years progressive experience in hotel or related field; or two year college degree and four or more years of related experience; or a four year college degree and three years related experience.
  • Minimum two years experience working on computers in a Windows environment and/or ability to demonstrate knowledge of computers required, and two (2) years experience working with Opera reservation system with one year in a lead position or higher.
  • Must be able to convey information and ideas clearly.
  • Must be effective in handling problems in the workplace, including anticipating, preventing, identifying, and solving problems as necessary.
  • Must have the ability to assimilate complex information, etc., from disparate sources and consider, adjust, or modify to meet the constraints of the particular need.
  • Must have full understanding of the Customer Service standards and ensure they are applied consistently within the department.
  • Must be able to demonstrate multi-task abilities and effective work under pressure (i.e., waiting lines, mass check-ins/check-outs without showing loss of composure, confidence and/or professionalism).
  • Must be effective at listening to, understanding, and clarifying concerns and issues raised by co-workers and guests.
  • Must be able to work with and understand financial information and data, and basic math functions.
