Job Description:

The TownePlace Suites East Lansing, professionally managed by North Michigan Hospitality Management (NMHM), is currently seeking a full-time 3-11pm Front Desk Associate to join our team! (Part-time also available.) Weekends and some holidays are required.

The Front Desk Associate is responsible for:
*Performing guest registrations (check ins & check outs), room assignments, and special requests
*Understanding of daily hotel operations, policies, procedures, and internal rules
*Knowledge of Brand’s operating systems and Brand’s customer loyalty programs
*Familiar with guest rooms, locations, amenities, features, and all other services offered
*Ensure proper credit when checking out guest(s) and handle late charges accordingly
*Knowledge of cash handling and bank procedures to check out all guest(s)
*Answer phones, handle mail, and take messages
*Assist guests with problems and questions; ensure all guest problems are resolved
*Knowledge about the city, local area, and attractions *Utilize spare time for cleaning (i.e. front desk, back office, common areas *Know all emergency procedures and the proper action to take

Customer interactions and a service mindset are required. Solid communication with fellow team members and management is necessary.

Requirements:

The ideal candidate must have availability from 3-11pm. Weekends and some holidays are required. Previous experience is preferred, but not required.
