Job description

We are looking to hire several Hospital Screeners for Washington Hospital in Fremont. This is a day shift position 9:30amm to 6:00pm with occasional weekends

The Screener will greet visitors entering Washington Hospital by following established CDC or other regulatory guidelines and internal procedures using tools to screen, document and compiled information, as necessary.

The Screener will reports all issues to the manager or hospital personnel of anyone who does not pass the screening protocols and/or does not comply with screening guidelines.

The Screener will perform the following duties:

- Monitors, organizes and keeps work areas sanitized and clean. Screenings may be required to take place outside the doors of the facilities in order to maintain appropriate protection inside the buildings.
- Ensures testing related supplies are properly maintained and available.
- Provides masks as needed. Educate those entering the facilities on the practices and protocols for entry and re-entry.
- Perform specific health screening of persons entering the facilities following established regulatory and hospital guidelines.
- Check temperature (no touch) and screens for symptoms by asking a series of questions.
- Reports to manager or other identified escalation resources any person(s) who refuses and/or does not pass the screening and/or comply with screening requirements.

Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Ability to interacts with others in a non-judgmental and nondiscriminatory manner that is sensitive to cultural, racial and ethnic diversity.
- Courteous, competent and welcoming communication skills.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide a high level of service to internal and external customers in routine but important interactions.
- Previous healthcare experience, including knowledge and understanding of infection control procedures and universal precautions principles a plus.
- Completion of a medical assisting or medical administration program not required but a plus.

MUST be vaccinated and boosted against COVID-19.
