Interim Healthcare of NEPA is seeking a School Based Home Care Aide HCA to attend school with a child and provide help at home in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania.

School Based Home Health Aides (HHAs) are members of the interdisciplinary team who provide hands-on personal care, report changes in the client’s condition, perform simple procedures as an extension of therapy or nursing services, and provide incidental/instrumental activities of daily living to clients in the home setting as evaluated/delegated and as permitted by the policies and procedures of Interim HealthCare and any other federal, state and local law or regulation.

• Make up to $16 per hour
• Work in Tunkhannock, Pennsylvania
• M-F 8am-4:30pm, no weekends
• Health Benefits after 90 days, minus vision and dental

• Weekly Pay via papercheck or direct deposit

Essential Functions of the School Based Home Care Aide (HCA):

• Attend school with a pediatric client with potential travel with client from home to school, school to home, and local activities
• Assist with Activities for Daily Living (ADLs)
• Report any incidents to classroom teacher and designated supervisor
• Follow care plan and maintain proper documentation according to Pennsylvania State Laws
• Follow HIPAA standards
• Most importantly provide quality care and a safe environment

Minimum requirements for the School Based Home Care Aide (HCA):

• Highschool Diploma or GED; required
• Six (6) months of accumulated experience in a similar job classification; required.
• CPR Certification; required.
• Valid Drivers License and reliable form of transportation; required.
• Willing to undergo pre-employment screenings.
