We have openings in Onondaga, Madison, Oneida, Herkimer, Oswego, Cortland, Tompkins, Chenango, Tioga, and Broome counties.

Your primary responsibility is providing services to children and families in their homes and communities. Our clients are birth to aged 21 and have either developmental, medical, or mental health needs. Among the provider’s responsibilities are:

· Assist in creating a safe and secure environment

· Transport clients to places within the community

· Plan and execute appropriate activities

· Schedule services around the needs of the child and/or family

· Complete billing documentation for each service provided

· Work collaboratively with family members and other professionals involved in the individual’s care to develop appropriate plans

· Participate in ongoing supervisions, trainings, and meetings as requested

· Maintain compliance with all required training

Training / onboarding typically takes 4 weeks from hire date, with an expected obligation of 7-10 hours per week. These training hours can be flexible and consists of online learning, one on one teachings with your supervisor, and shadows in the field with current staff. Once training and onboard are complete, you begin to meet your clients and families, and begin services.

Typical shifts are anywhere from 1 to 5 hours in length, and fall between 2pm and 8pm during the school year. During school breaks or summer, hours can flex into daytime hours. Per diem or part time positions can work up to 30 hours per week, but these hours are not guaranteed. Staff are expected to collaborate with their clients to reschedule services throughout the week as needed. Administrative responsibilities (scheduling, planning, and documentation) are done remotely while services are typically front-facing with children and families. Telehealth is also an option for services (determined on a case by case basis).

Qualifications:

All applicants must have the following:

· A high school diploma/equivalent or NY State Education Commencement Credential; 2- or 4-year degree(s) in related fields a plus

· Experience with children and families

· Flexibility in scheduling including evening and/or weekend hours

· Valid, unrestricted driver’s license with reliable transportation

· Excellent communication skills, including: oral, listening, written, and inter-personal

· Effective problem-solving skills

· Self-confidence and an ability to work with children and young adults with a variety of needs

· Exceptional customer service and collaboration skills

· Computer skills; experience with Microsoft Outlook and EHRs a plus

· Compliance with required background checks, including fingerprinting and drug testing

· Successful completion of all mandatory training

Preference given to candidates with experience working with: children’s mental health, addiction, foster care/child welfare/juvenile justice, children with medical/health needs, or children with developmental disabilities.

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour
