SmartStart Education seeks a state certified academic tutor to work with individual students during the week in Fairfield County Schools in CT. Tutors will meet students in their homes, healthcare facilities, in school during the school day or other suitable locations.

Subjects include, but are not limited to, physics, probability and statistics, US history, and English. Tutors must be comfortable tutoring in each subject area.

The position starts ASAP and continues until the contract has ended.

Qualified Candidates:

• Hold a CT state teacher certification-REQUIRED
• Have at least one-year teaching experience
• Understand the needs of urban students, schools, and communities
• Possess subject matter mastery
• Show a passion and commitment to the success of students
• Bilingual in Spanish is a plus
