cFocus Software is seeking a Help Desk Technician to support DOL Office of Assistant Secretary for Administration and Management, Office of Chief Information Officer in a fully remote role.
Required Qualifications:
- Public Trust or the ability to obtain a Public Trust
- Must be a US Citizen
- Minimum 5 years proven experience regarding Help Desk Support at a Tier II level
- ServiceNow and JIRA Experience
- Experience with Linux/ UNIX
- Bachelor’s degree or 8 years of experience
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Assist in troubleshooting UNIX/ Linux / Windows PC servers in response to customers' comments and phone calls.
- Where possible, resolves the problem over the telephone, by communicating directly with the customer, and by dialling into the remote site, if necessary
- Research problem areas and provides solutions to reported problems. This may require contact with third party vendors and other support contractors
- Records, reports, and completes trouble tickets utilizing the current OCIO Help Desk application, which varies from ServiceNow to JIRA Service Manager.
- Provides end-user support to software applications that support the DOL programs at the federal, and/or State levels in an UNIX / Linux / Windows environment
- Works closely with DOL Federal Liaisons or Technical Team Leaders during all phases of the software life cycle.
