Heavy Equipment Operator

The Heavy Equipment Operator safely operates equipment to move machinery within the facility. The Heavy Equipment Operator supports day-to-day operations of an assigned work site. The ideal candidate is skilled in safely and efficiently operating equipment in a busy worksite. We seek a positive team player who is reliable, flexible, organized, and detail-oriented who can consistently deliver excellent service. Candidate will be responsible for inspecting and prepping equipment before its delivered to the customer.

Essential Responsibilities:

• Operates equipment safely and efficiently in accordance with training and manufactures instructions
• Perform pre-delivery safety inspections on the vehicle systems, equipment and accessories
• Perform preventative maintenance and service heavy equipment
• Report needed repairs to supervision
• Ensure cargo and equipment is properly loaded per safety requirements
• Responsible for good housekeeping of equipment
• Assist facility maintenance and repairs
• Adhere to OSHA and company safety requirements, policies and procedures
• Perform duties with minimum supervision

Minimum Education and Experience:

• High school diploma, GED or equivalent
• 6 months experience (preferred)
• Experience with a variety of hand tools
• Must be able to climb on and off equipment to operate and service
• Capable of lifting and carrying up to 50 lbs
• Must work outside in all weather conditions consistent with extreme temperatures: heat, cold
• Must be able to able to perform duties in a safe manner
• Must be able to work independently

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: From $21.00 per hour
