Responsibilities
Position Summary:
The Health Care Assistant II provides clerical support and assists in the examination and treatment of patients under the direction of a physician or a Registered Nurse. Performs specific clerical duties coordinates departmental communications and provides Administrative support to Management Team. Performs Patient Care tasks as directed by Registered Nurse or Physician. Demonstrates the skills and knowledge to support the accurate data collection and documentation of financial and demographic information. Participates as a Team Member communicating respect for the patient family clients and other members of the Care Team. Contributes to the Management of the department by assuming responsibility of specific support functions including Administrative support of Management Team. Maintains the patient medical record departmental records and client files.

Qualifications
Minimum:
- Mimum one (1) year experience in a related field or completion of a Certified Medical Assistant course.
- High school graduate or equivalent
- American Heart Association BLS card required.
- Requires excellent communication skills and a customer service attitude. Requires excellent communication skills and a customer service attitude. Must speak English and have legible handwriting.
Preferred
- Medical Terminology course required.
- Medical assistant training and certificate required.
