Job Description and Duties

Telework Information: This position is eligible for a hybrid work schedule, with up to two days of remote work and three days or more onsite, per week.

This is a Limited Term position for a duration of 12 months that may be extended up to 24 months and/or may become permanent.

Our Human Resources Division (HRSD) is currently seeking a Staff Services Analyst/Associate Governmental Program Analyst to perform case management for team members who require medical leave, supporting the Health and Safety Unit within the HRSD Medical Management Section.

Duties include but are not limited to:

• As the Medical Management Coordinator, directly assists team members and team leaders with medical leaves of absence (FMLA), parental leave (FMLA, CFRA, PDL, PFL), in accordance with state and federal laws, while ensuring compliance with CalPERS policies and procedures.
• As the Return to Work Coordinator (RTWC), directly assists team members with Workers’ Compensation (WC) injuries, serving as subject matter expert (SME) in this field, and ensuring compliance with CalPERS policies and procedures.
• Independently develops, designs, and delivers a variety of presentations, trainings, and/or other communications related to the medical management process, policies, and/or procedures, for large and small audiences.
• Independently prepares reports and analysis including, but not limited to, medical management program usage, open and closed cases, backlogged cases, workload tracking, and various forms of medical management metrics.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $3,534.00 - $6,907.00 per month
