Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced performance-focused Head of Growth to join us at Veyl Ventures, one of the fastest-growing natural health e-commerce brands in North America! The Head of Growth will work cross-functionally with leaders from Marketing, Creative, Product Innovation, Operations, Customer Success, Sales, and Finance. The ideal candidate has a proven track record of innovating and scaling DTC businesses, building high-performing growth teams, optimizing the funnel experience, and delivering quality user experiences. The Head of Growth should have an analytical, data-driven mindset and thrives in a high-velocity, test-&-learn environment. Reporting directly to the CEO, you’ll have a strong understanding of both the performance and brand sides of growth and the technical aspects of data analysis and digital product management.

Essential Duties

  • Drive top-line results in order to hit weekly, quarterly, and annual growth targets
  • Accountable for key initiatives and new projects focused on omni-channel, integrated marketing initiatives as we expand. Leading some specialty-focus areas like landing page testing, mobile conversion optimization, new platform integrations, system improvements, and more.
  • Own success across multi-channel execution, including readouts and performance adjustments on a weekly, monthly and quarterly frequency
  • Own all growth analytics and our quantitative growth model, which shows ROI on every dollar we spend
  • Define digital strategies across the entire customer lifecycle to maximize conversions
  • Optimize existing channels and allocate budget to maximize ROI
  • Establish revenue and spend models that enable optimal allocation and ROI positive management of media spend.
  • Develop reporting methodologies to track and disseminate learnings across teams
  • Work with the team to build dashboards to regularly monitor experiments, KPI’s, and other key metrics
  • Build a culture of experimentation and data inspection across the organization
  • Lead and develop the team to execute sound strategies
  • Implement best practices for testing frameworks and reporting methodology
  • Attract, develop and retain a talented team that leads the industry in innovation and best practices
Requirements:
  • Deep experience managing advertising budgets in excess of $1MM a month. Expertise across top platforms and able to contribute your expertise quickly.
  • Experience scaling up fast growing, DTC e-commerce business lines.
  • In-depth knowledge and expertise in paid media, content marketing, SEO, influencers, affiliate, and social media
  • A self-starter who proactively identifies problems as well as solutions and are constantly seeking ways to improve the site even with limited resources, always looking for MVP opportunities
  • A strategic, entrepreneurial thinker who isn't afraid to push the envelope and take calculated risks in the name of driving big wins
  • Data-driven and analytical. You always try to back product decisions with data. When data is not available, you're comfortable driving data analysis to inform decisions.
  • Model exceptional leadership skills with a track record of building and motivating highly successful teams through a performance-based culture while empowering team members to reach their full potential.
  • Experience building new team frameworks, measuring impact, and maximizing the value of technology/tools that apply data effectively to marketing.
  • You have a team-oriented disposition that facilitates cross-functional collaboration - gathering, analyzing, interpreting, and applying a wide range of data inputs from various audiences. You can turn incomplete, conflicting, or ambiguous inputs into solid action plans.
