Department Summary

The University of Oregon Intercollegiate Athletic Department's primary purpose is to provide a unique opportunity for student-athletes to be developed, tested, and encouraged to reach their maximum potential in every aspect of their lives. The department has approximately 250 administrative & classified employees and hosts over 600,000 spectators annually and represents the University of Oregon in athletic competition with other universities & colleges.

Position Summary

The Head Women's Lacrosse Coach is responsible for the management and administration of all phases of the Women's Lacrosse program. This position is responsible for promoting the philosophy and objectives of the intercollegiate athletics program, including adherence to all department policies and procedures, as well as the rules and regulations of the university, Pac-12 Conference and the NCAA. Reports to the Deputy Athletic Director/SWA.

Minimum Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree
  • Four years successful lacrosse college coaching or professional playing lacrosse experience

Professional Competencies

  • Excellent written, interpersonal and oral communication skills
  • Knowledge of NCAA rules and interpretations
  • The successful candidate must have the ability to work effectively with faculty, staff and students from a variety of diverse backgrounds and a demonstrated dedication to the full academic and social development of student-athletes

Preferred Qualifications

  • Division I experience
  • Collegiate head coaching experience
  • Affiliation with highly successful elite program(s)
  • Proven successful implementation of offensive and/or defensive strategies
  • Proven significant skill development of student-athletes both individually and collectively
  • Full understanding of providing a quality student-athlete experience
