IEA Inc. is seeking an H&H Practice Lead to join our team in Houston, TX.

This individual will direct and coordinate H&H projects for IEA’s Houston office. This will include managing a wide array of H&H projects with Houston area and other Texas clients. This person will be experienced with TxDOT Houston and Harris County Flood Control.

This individual will collaborate and coordinate with multi-discipline design engineers and technicians.

This individual will perform outreach and marketing to obtain work from TxDOT Houston District, Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD), and other local Houston area clients.

Job Requirements

· Execute and manage projects for TxDOT Houston District.

· Execute and manage projects for Harris County Flood Control District (HCFCD).

· Perform work in accordance with agreed upon budget and schedule with little supervision.

· Prepare technical documents including drainage reports, project deliverable packages, field reports, and design documentation.

· Lead the H&H marketing pursuits for the greater Houston area.

Qualifications

· Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or equivalent from an ABET/EAC accredited program.

· Texas Professional Engineer required.

· Certified Floodplain Manager (CFM) preferred.

· HCFCD experience required.

· TxDOT Houston District experience required.

· Minimum 15+ years of working experience related to hydrology and hydraulics for highway/roadway projects is required.

· Proficiency in generating drainage impact studies for minor and major roadway projects preferred.

Skills

· Strong technical knowledge of 1D and 2D Hydraulic Modeling.

· Experience building and leading a team.

· Knowledge and experience with MicroStation are required.

· Experienced with discipline-specific design software: GEOPAK and/or OpenRoads, AutoCAD Civil 3D, ArcGIS, HEC-RAS, HEC-HMS, SWMM, HY-8, or other comparable design software.

· Familiarity with ProjectWise is a plus.

· Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, etc.) experience is required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $88,000.00 - $180,000.00 per year
