Sunseeker Resort Charlotte Harbor is currently searching for a Graphic Design & Production Artist to join our opening team!

The Graphic Design & Production Artist is responsible for conceptualizing and producing high-quality, creative digital content and print collateral for a variety of marketing needs related to brand marketing, property promotions, F&B and special events offerings, HR & talent acquisition communication, and more. This candidate will track design solutions from concept through the approval and production processes, reporting to Sunseeker’s Creative Design & Production Manager, while also working closely with internal teams and outside vendors. This person will have a strong understanding of design, hierarchy, problem-solving, layout, typography, and substantial verbal and written communication skills. Previous pre-opening design experience is a plus.

All duties are performed in accordance with department and Sunseeker Resorts policies, practices, and procedures.

Job Duties

• Design and create simple campaigns and low‐profile jobs from concept to completion for internal and external guest and employee communication through digital (website/third party channels/social media), on-property, print and any other method.
• Produce preliminary designs, engage in design solutions and process feedback to improve designs
• Generate high quality comps for presentation or review.
• Stay current in design trends and styles in various media, including digital and social channels.
• Become familiar with brand guidelines, images, components and overall brand identity.
  
• Ensure quality and consistency in the finished material in terms of designs, images, colors and compliance to brand guidelines
  
• Work with creative management to ensure that designs meet brand standards, expectations, budgets and deadlines.
• Maintain files for all completed jobs.
• Assists mid-level and senior staff with developing and revising various design projects.
• Proofread to ensure accurate and high-quality work.
• Familiar with Prepress and file preparation including optimizing images and formatting designs for final output.
• Prepare specifications and mockups to communicate intentions for printed artwork to outside print vendors.
• Collaborate with team members to ensure proper material selection, print options, stay on timelines for design completion, and be able to problem solve issues if they arise.
• Effectively communicate with the Creative Design & Production Manager, marketing department and other pertinent departments to complete design jobs efficiently and accurately.
• Ensure accuracy in the production and execution of all design efforts.
• Curate, coordinate and evolve Sunseeker Resorts digital image library across all software platforms and distribution formats.
• Willingness to gain proficiency in additional software as needed.
• Perform other functions as needed.

Minimum Requirements

Combination of Education and Experience will be considered. Candidates will need to be authorized to work in the US as defined by the Immigration Act of 1986. Sunseeker Resorts does do criminal background checks.

• Bachelor’s Degree in in Art or Graphic Design, and/or related fields
• Minimum of one (1) year of experience in in design in an agency, in-house or freelance
• Previous experience working with print production and vendor relationships
• Previous experience working in a hotel/resort setting preferred.

Other Minimum Requirements

• Proficient in standard graphics software programs including Adobe Creative Cloud applications (InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, After Effects or Premiere Pro)
• Preferred some experience in Photo & Video (shooting & editing), experience in Motion Design
• Advanced understanding of composition, layout, color theory and typography
• Large format printing experience operating digital printing, lamination and finishing equipment.
• Experience working with a Digital Asset Management software
• Ability to be proficient in Macintosh computers
• Flexibility to work varied shifts, including weekends and holidays if needed
• Excellent customer service skills
• Working knowledge of Microsoft Office
• Ability to function well under pressure, manage multiple priorities, and meet established deadlines
• Must possess mature personal discretion and sound judgment
• Strong leadership abilities, sound judgment, superior problem solving and decision-making skills
• Excellent organizational, analytical and project management skills, with particular attention to quality and detail
• Interpersonal skills to deal effectively with all business contacts
• Professional appearance and demeanor
