SUNSET FOODS CORPORATE OFFICE in Highland Park, IL is currently interviewing for a Graphic Design and Visual Communications Coordinator

Reporting to the Marketing Director, this role is a key player in the execution of marketing campaigns and must have the ability to take projects from a conceptual design phase to detailed production and artwork release.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Support the creation of standout, differentiated marketing materials.
• Must be able to switch focus and juggle multiple customer audiences among several markets.
• Conceptualize, design, write and edit campaign assets, including ads, flyers, catalogs, and web copy.
• Applies digital expertise to support customer needs, projects, and objectives and manages other ad hoc related tasks as requested by Marketing Director.
• Start, update, modify and correct new and ongoing print, web, and social media projects.
• Proofread materials and provide quality control. Play a key role in generating ideas, meeting calendar deadlines, and simultaneously managing deadlines for multiple projects.
• Adherence to digital brand standards and online accessibility compliance.
• Able to handle a fast pace, high-demand workplace.
• In-depth knowledge of design and print layout.
• Specific projects to include: design store signage, brochures, print and digital menus, register art, infographics, banners, logos, advertisements, newsletter and social graphics, presentations, direct mail pieces, etc.

Core skills and qualifications

• Adobe Creative Suite with emphasis on InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.
• Experience with Canva is a plus.
• Social Media Aptitude.
• Exceptional organization, prioritization, and time management skills.
• Proven attention to detail and quality assurance
• Knowledge of HTML is a plus.
• Working knowledge of Microsoft suite.
• Design, social media, or related degree preferred.
• Graphic Design experience of 2 years or more.
• Experience with video editing and/or animation is a plus.
• Customer Service experience appreciated.
