Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake’s mission is to inspire and empower youth to realize their full potential as productive, responsible, and caring citizens. We have served the youth and families in our community for over 55 years. Today, we serve more than 5,600 members, ages 3-18, annually at seven Club locations across Salt Lake, Tooele, and Carbon Counties. At our Clubs, kids are given opportunities to succeed in safe and supportive environments that blend evidence-based practices with high-impact programming, state-of-the-art facilities, and caring professionals. We provide academic remediation, sports leagues, social-emotional learning services, and much more—all at minimal or no cost to their families. POSITION SUMMARY:

Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Salt Lake seeks a Grant Writer responsible for creating and managing grants throughout the entire grant process. This includes maintaining the grants calendar through our CRM system, completing proposals and reports by their deadline, and ensuring funds are received post-award. The ideal candidate is a strong writer that is detail and deadline oriented.


PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Conducts the full range of activities required to prepare, write, submit, and manage grant proposals to government, foundation, and corporate funders.
  • Adhere to deadlines and annual grant proposal calendar.
  • Attend bidder conferences and donor meetings as required.
  • Collaborate with the operations team to obtain program outcome data and prepare reports for funders as required.
  • Provide support for organizational events, fundraisers, and public relations activities.

DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in a related field
  • 1-3 years of related experience
  • Exceptional writer and editor with strong attention to detail, quality, and timeliness
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities with competing deadlines
  • Desire to advance in the organization
  • Self-motivated and team-oriented

ORGANIZATION REQUIREMENTS:

  • Must be able to pass a Criminal Background Check annually
  • Must be able to pass an onboarding Drug Screening
