JOB SUMMARY:

This position participates in all phases of the graduate student recruitment process and reports directly to the Vice President of Enrollment. This position will be student focused in helping prospective graduate students through the application, enrollment, retention and graduation process. Nights and weekends may be required for events.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Be the point of communication for prospective graduate students and program directors, including but not limited to answering the main graduate school email, responding to the main graduate school line phone calls, and assisting program directors in gathering needed application materials.
  • Provide customer service to graduate students throughout the enrollment cycle, from recruitment, to enrollment, to orientation, to retention, to graduation.
  • Work closely with the Office of Student Financial Aid to provide students with accurate information and counseling concerning basic aspects of the financial aid process.
  • Work with graduate program directors to evaluate applicant files and move students through the workflow.
  • Work with program directors to streamline their recruitment and admission processes. Meet with graduate program directors at least once a month to ensure program needs are discussed and solutions are achieved.
  • Work with program directors to establish agreements with local schools and businesses to recruit prospective graduate students.
  • Represent Lourdes as needed for student recruitment at a minimum of five college fairs and community events each year. This includes traveling to visit current and potential partner employers, schools, healthcare facilities and other locations; and facilitating two on-campus graduate program open houses each year.
  • Oversee reporting of graduate enrollment and retention data, including but not limited to enrollment goals, number of applicants, and general student data. Provide program directors with number of potential student interactions achieved each month. Provide quarterly data on how many students were successfully recruited.
  • Assist with special projects that are a part of the overall strategic plan.
  • Observe the process of the development and/or revision of the University’s admission standards.
Requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required.
  • One to three years in a related educational position and/or higher education preferred.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • A valid driver’s license with the ability and willingness to travel.
  • Demonstrated organizational and planning abilities.
  • Familiarity with PC applications and online technology. Customer relationship management (CRM) experience preferred.
  • Availability to work evenings and weekends as needed.
  • Desire to be actively involved with the campus community.
  • A high degree of personal integrity and professionalism.
