This role will be part of the SE Government Affairs team supporting North America and represent the organization’s interests with local or regional legislatures, government agencies, and regional/national industry associations on the respective level.

How You’ll Make an Impact (Responsibilities of role)

The specific responsibilities assigned to the position (but not limited to) are:

• Monitors relevant legislation and proposes and/or implement communication activities towards political stakeholders.
• Prepares political briefings for internal Top Management.
• May liaise with authorities and local legislative and executive branch officials advising them of company concerns.
• Evolves and maintains personal contacts to the major stakeholders in the decision process.

What You Bring (Candidate Requirements)

• Bachelors degree in related field (Political Science, Public Administration, etc.). Masters degree preferred.
• 10+ years of work experience in government affairs or related legislative roles
• Industry experience and/or knowledge of Siemens Energy/ Siemens Gamesa Renewable Energy products and systems preferred
• Strong analytical and problem solving skills
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with different audiences
• Applicants must be legally authorized for employment in the United States without need for current or future employer-sponsored work authorization. Siemens Energy employees with current visa sponsorship may be eligible for internal transfers
