Job Description

SUMMARY
The Golf Shop Attendant is responsible for golf shop sales, taking tee times, answer phone calls, and register golfers at the counter while providing excellent customer service. This position will be responsible for taking payment over all golf services and following opening and closing procedures. .

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include the following:

• Attention to detail while proper cash management and tee time scheduling.
• Responsible for all minor inquires and problems/complaints received from customers and report major problems/complaints accordingly.
• Register customers for rental equipment for the range and golf course according to the policies and procedures established by management.
• Maintain a clean, neat work area. Along with restocking golf shop inventory as needed.
• Answers phones in an expedient manner and respond to any questions from guests.
• Carry out all cash management policies and procedures as set by management.
• Assist in tournament set up
• Performs other duties as directed by his or her supervisor.

QUALIFICATIONS:

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be 18 years of age or older and able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Previous sale and customer service experience is preferred. Knowledge of the game of golf is helpful.

LANGUAGE SKILLS:
Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions and be a self starter.

MATHEMATICAL SKILLS:
Basic math skills in all units of measure, using numbers, fractions, and decimals.
