Your Next Career Opportunity – Global Stock Plan Administrator

SBA Communications is seeking an experienced Global Stock Plan Administrator to join our Global Total Rewards team. In this role, you will be responsible for daily plan administration, reconciliation, reporting activities, and special projects for Global Long Term Incentive Plans. Candidate should have a demonstrated track record of successfully leading daily activities, identifying, investigating, and remediating data for accuracy, managing cyclical events, international compliance, and day-to-day stakeholder, partner, and vendor relationships. The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of successfully leading daily activities, educating employees on equity plans, managing international compliance, effectively communicating with internal and external stakeholders, and identifying and implementing process and system improvements in a highly dynamic environment.

What You Will Do – Primary Responsibilities

  • Process equity award issuance, vesting, and release of restricted stock units (RSUs) and performance share units (PSUs), and stock option exercises for our global team members, executive team, and Board of Directors, while ensuring timely and accurate tax withholding and reporting to payroll and regulatory agencies.
  • Manage all quarterly ESPP activities such as enrollment, contributions, and purchases, including employee education, coordination with payroll and accounting teams, performing the purchases in Shareworks, and monitoring IRS limits.
  • Manage all day-to-day aspects of our third-party equity recordkeeping and administration system and relationship.
  • Ensure awards are treated properly upon termination; establish a process for taxation upon retirement eligibility.
  • Create processes to monitor HR data for changes, terminate employees, apply updates on a timely basis, and maintain data accuracy. Conduct a frequent review of data across systems to ensure data aligns with all HRM platforms.
  • Provide the first tier of responses for all incoming employees and potential new hires' questions related to equity.
  • Assist with training new hires about the SBA equity programs.
  • Work with auditors as needed, keep SOX documentation current, and ensure processes are managed in accordance with SOX requirements.
  • Work closely with Legal to ensure all information required for Section 16 and Form 4 filings are provided timely.
  • Complete monthly reconciliation within the payroll system to ensure transaction alignment with the stock administration vendor.
  • Handle corporate actions with SBA as needed (i.e., stock conversions with employees and executives).
  • Review daily activity to identify ex-pat or other transactions; work with external tax partners and local countries to ensure ex-pat reporting is handled correctly.
  • Assist local country contacts with the completion of annual filing requirements.
  • Collaborate with international Payrolls to ensure tax withholding rates are accurate.
  • Establish monthly check-in and support process to facilitate proper local compliance with stock plan regulations for withholding and reporting as well as dividend distribution.
  • Creating an engaging participant experience, including presentation slides and educational materials in multi-media.
  • Assist with scoping, implementing, and rolling out new functionalities available to third-party administrators.
  • Implement efficient and scalable processes, system automation, and integrations for equity administration, reporting, and retirement taxation.
  • Other projects and duties as assigned.

What You’ll Need – Qualifications & Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance, Human Resources or related field of study;
    • and 3-5 years related experience including managing a global stock plan for a multi-national corporation; subject matter expertise on equity plan. Experience working in a company environment on equity taxation, reporting and compliance strongly preferred.
    • and 3-5 years third party vendor management experience and hands on international stock plan experience.
    • and 3-5 years demonstrated career progression across different areas of finance, compensation or other Human Resources disciplines.
  • Bilingual in English/Spanish or English/Portuguese preferred
  • Experience with Morgan Stanley Shareworks and data file specifications and transmissions preferred.
  • High level of discretion related to an employee, payroll, and equity information
  • Superior organizational skills, attention to detail, and accuracy
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and collaborative environment and adjust to changing priorities
  • Very strong communication skills and customer orientation
  • Excellent Excel skills (VLookUps, Pivot Tables, etc.)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and advanced proficiency working with Microsoft Office Suite software including Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Microsoft PowerPoint and Microsoft Outlook.
  • Valid Government Issued Driver's License
  • Other CEP Level 1 or 2 (or in process of obtaining) certification strongly desired; but willingness and ability to earn the designation will be considered. Pref
