Global Investment Research, US Economics Analyst-Dallas
Job description
We are seeking an analyst to join the US Economics team in Dallas . Working closely with the chief US economist and other members of the US Economics team, analysts will:
- Analyze and interpret high-frequency economic data releases
- Develop and maintain the team’s forecasting models and other proprietary economic indicators
- Work with the economists on the team on economic research projects and publications
- Publish occasional research pieces of their own
- Work with colleagues in sales and trading and investment banking as well as external clients to answer questions and explain the team’s views
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Strong interest in macroeconomics
- Bachelor’s or Master degree required, preferably with significant exposure to economics and some background in math and statistics
- Strong analytical skills and understanding of statistical analysis, ideally with coursework in econometrics
- Comfort with basic computer programming
- Excellent written and verbal communication
- Meticulous attention to detail and strong organizational skills
- Ability to work both autonomously and in a team setting
