Other exciting job duties include but are not limited to:
- Install, maintain, and repair water valves, fire hydrants, water mains, and includes emergency water main repairs
- Semi-annual flushing program
- Conduct leak studies and perform system tests
- Install new water distribution systems
- May supervise multiple crews at the same time
- Being skilled with computerized work order systems; standardized forms; evaluation of projects and cost estimates of same is essential for the position
Work is performed under general supervision with detailed supervision over skilled and semi-skilled employees. Ability to evaluate employees and prepare written evaluations.

REQUIREMENT
:
Requires high school diploma or GED and any combination of education and experience equivalent to satisfactory completion of one year of college education in a construction, mechanical or electromechanical trade, or a closely related field.
SPECIAL CERTIFICATIONS AND LICENSES :
Requires a valid driver’s license and a driving record that is in compliance with the City Driving Standards . Class A Commercial Driver’s License with tanker endorsement is required and may be obtained within 6 months from hire date. Special skills or equipment certification may be required.
EXPERIENCE REQUIREMENT :
In addition to satisfying the vocational/educational standard, this position requires a minimum of four years of related, full-time equivalent experience.
