The General Manager will be responsible for developing teams and providing the best customer service down to the last detail. This individual will oversee all functional aspects of our new multi-site Tewksbury location. This is an integral role and well-suited for an individual who has initiative, can get up to speed on our culture and processes quickly, takes pride in minor details, and understands their impact when considered as a collective whole in the brewery. As a General Manager, you will be responsible for the following:

  • Responsible for the strategic direction of Tree House Tewksbury, overseeing several business units and working autonomously as a leader to drive all business decisions for your property.
  • Overseeing all aspects of the Tewksbury property, including daily operations of the main taproom, On The Fly outpost, golf operations, restaurant and maintenance.
  • Management of up to 6-8 high level direct reports; including, Taproom Manager, Assistant Taproom Manager, Golf Superintendent, Logistics crew, etc.
  • Working with a functional manager mindset and being hands-on in any and all aspects of the Tewksbury business, to support operations as needed
  • Overseeing the recruiting, onboarding, and training of high-performing employees and team managers to achieve business objectives and success
  • Directing responsibilities to team managers and enforcing all policies, procedures, standards, specifications, guidelines, training programs, and company principles
  • In tandem with Tree House leadership and Human Resources:
    • Developing strategic plans and communicating business goals to drive employee engagement and improve overall business functions
    • Formulate policies and procedures to ensure consistency and accountability
  • Providing regular and ongoing guidance and feedback to help managers strength specific knowledge, skills, and abilities
  • Evaluating business performance and productivity, making and implementing ideas for improvement
  • Researching and identifying growth opportunities, with a strong focus on execution
  • Working with the various teams onsite and at other locations, seeing through the adjusted deliveries, release schedules, programs, and events seamlessly

Role Requirements:

  • Minimum 8-10 years of management experience in a high volume or multi-unit hospitality environment
  • Strong organization and communication skills to discern and address the needs of customers, employees, stakeholders, and company leadership
  • Ability to manage competing priorities within a dynamic environment
  • A constant learner, able to flourish in a fast-paced, high-growth, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Passion for Tree House's vision and the craft beer business; Strong knowledge of craft beer a plus.
  • Expertise in driving efficiency in business despite practical constraints
  • Able to work effectively with people at all levels across the organization
  • Goal-oriented with ability to demonstrate impeccable integrity, critical thinking, good judgment, sense of urgency and honesty
  • Experience in quality control, policy adherence, and other protocols
  • Effective leadership skills with experience managing other managers
  • Strong understanding of product and labor costs with proven track record of hitting and maintaining target goals
  • You are self-motivated and able to work autonomously, with an entreprenurial attitude
  • Ability to multitask and work coolly and professionally in time sensitive situations
  • Ability to troubleshoot issues and/or pivot plans quickly in order to coordinate corrective actions needed
  • Meticulous attention to detail
  • Ability to push, pull, bend, and lift in excess of 50 lbs. as necessary to perform required tasks as assigned throughout the workday.
  • Must be able to stand, walk for long periods of time
  • Ability to work early, long hours with flexibility and the ability to work beyond normal working hours, on weekends, and in other positions temporarily, when necessary to ensure product delivery
