Field Service Technician Job Description
Eagle Feather Equipment Services is a local, family-owned, and fast-growing company servicing Colorado. We are looking for a Field Service Technician to travel to our clients’ businesses or homes to perform maintenance, repairs, and installations of loading dock equipment and garage doors.

A successful Field Service Technician possesses exceptional technical, electrical and mechanical skills. Experience with basic hand, power, and diagnostic tools is critical to this position as is physical health and strength, in order to be able to regularly and safely lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and work outside in variable weather conditions.

Field Service Technician Responsibilities:

• Install, repair and/or service commercial equipment, such as dock levelers, truck restraints, garage doors, operators, and high-speed doors with attention to detail, efficiency, and cleanliness.
• Install, repair and/or service home-based equipment, such as garage doors and operators.
• Test products, equipment, and machinery and provide customer with detailed usage instructions.
• Use diagnostic tools to accurately identify and troubleshoot problems.
• Fix defective, worn-out or broken products or order the necessary replacement parts.
• Complete, track, and maintain all job related paperwork and submit in a timely manner.
• Identify opportunities to provide clients with appropriate recommendations on products and services.
• Maintain technical, electrical and mechanical skills and demonstrate high-level safety practices.
• Promote and support the company's services, image and reputation.
• Interact with clients with excellent customer service and communication skills.

Field Service Technician Requirements:

• 2+ years' experience (preferred) with loading dock and commercial/residential garage door equipment, welding and electrical troubleshooting.
• MUST be able to safely and comfortably perform work on a step ladder, extension ladder and/or scissor lift at a high elevation off the ground.
• Strong working knowledge of equipment and tools used in the dock and door industry.
• MUST possess your own basic hand tools - power tools will be provided by employer.
• Physically fit enough to lift heavy equipment, climb ladders, and bend frequently.
• Able to work a flexible schedule Monday-Friday with occasional weekend work.
• Must be 18 years or older with a valid driver’s license and clean driving record.
• Able to clear a criminal background check.
• Possess a High School Diploma or GED equivalency.

Pay and Benefits

• Pay range is $20-$30/hr, based on experience.
• Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, employee will be eligible to begin accruing up to 80 hours of personal/vacation leave.
• Upon successful completion of a 90 day probationary period, employee will be eligible for health, dental, and vision benefits.
• 48 hours of paid sick leave per year begin accruing at the start of employment.
• Employee will be provided a company paid cell phone, tablet, service vehicle (following the training and probationary period), and all necessary power work tools – employee MUST possess their own basic hand tools.
