We are a small team made up of Escape Room enthusiasts who started out as local game hosts a little over 5 years ago! Quickly, we grew a love for the industry and the players that come with it. As a family-owned business, we are looking to grow our team with individuals that have a clear passion for escape rooms. We pride ourselves on our outgoing and encouraging attitudes, not only with our guests, but within our team as well! If you are looking for a normal hourly job, this isn’t the position for you. Who is our ideal applicant?
Motivated individuals looking for an interesting and excitable career.
Technical theatre and performance experience preferred. (Aspects of game briefings will be driven by character-hosts. Part of the interview will be formatted as an audition)
Personable and outgoing personalities to actively engage in conversation before and after games.
Experienced escape rooms players (10+ preferred)
A knowledge of the Orlando escape room industry
Willingness to learn and grow within our business, while receiving positive and critical feedback
Artistic individuals with a passion for creation
Experience/knowledge of power tools and/or a willingness to learn
Ability to problem-solve, especially in a fast-paced environment.
Detail-oriented, team-players
Effective listeners with clear and concise communication skills
Attentive and well-spoken
2 years or more - Guest Service and Hospitality experience preferred

Job Responsibilities:
A welcoming and personable face at the front-line of our business, while checking in guests.
Ensuring the quality of a clean FOH and BOH

  • Providing a helpful hand to other game guides during busy times

Listening to guest feedback about their experience and bring to the attention of Management.Maintaining the quality of games, puzzles and props - reporting to management as needed.Assisting with future game scenic and prop builds Completing thorough and specific resets in between game times, while ensuring the proper sanitation of each game as outlined by our team.Staying engaged with your guests while briefing, running and closing each game. Engaging in team meetings in a creative and positive atmosphere! Becoming a strong member of our Escape Ventures family!

  • As mentioned in the Job Responsibilities, some games require an In-Character Scripted briefing. Is performing in front of small groups (1-10 players) something you would feel comfortable doing?

Education:

  • High school or equivalent (Preferred)

Experience:

  • Customer Service: 2 years (Preferred)
  • Theater (if any): 2 years (Preferred)

Language:

  • Spanish Fluently (Preferred)
  • English Fluently (Required)

License/Certification:

  • Driver's License (Required)
