Sutter Street Manufacturing is a subsidiary of Williams-Sonoma, Inc. Our Sutter Street Manufacturing Facilities in NC, MS and CA are looking to hire hard-working and motivated associates to join our amazing manufacturing team! The Forklift Operator and Furniture Packer position is located in Claremont, NC. This position is responsible for operating a forklift in assistance with the packing department.

You’ll be excited about this opportunity because you will....

• Insure inventory levels are maintained at pre-determined quantity levels
• Organize and maintain inventory storage areas
• Assist in unloading and stocking incoming inventory
• Knowledge of working two-bin storage system
• Operate various types of powered industrial trucks/lifts
• Maintain recycle program & solid waste removal
• Check over the piece to assure there is no visible damage and nothing is missing.
• Keep the piece clean, damage-free and protect legs on the piece when moving around on the floor, hoisting on the lift and conveyor.
• Pack piece according to established standards – usually consisting of solid tray, interpack with double lining, end caps for one end, foam rail floaters, and clear shrink bag
• Following packing process, place piece on a truck or into VMI storage and scan packing ticket. If loaded on a truck Scan the item as “shipped”
• Flexibility to move to different areas of plant as required and perform other functions as necessary

• High School Diploma or equivalent
• At least 2 years of experience operating a forklift.
• Ability to operate various types of powered industrial trucks/lifts.
• Knowledge or ability to learn two-bin storage system.
