About this Job

The right candidate for this role enjoys working with customers and team members to answer customer questions and resolve issues. This position will require a person with excellent data entry and problem-solving skills who pays close attention to detail. Having an enthusiastic and positive attitude is a must have. Individual is responsible for assisting with customer calls, scheduling, preparation of monthly financial statements and job profitability reporting. The bookkeeper/receptionist will work with other members of the team to ensure the integrity of financial data, reconcile accounts and provide administrative support. This includes all accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general ledger responsibilities.

Responsibilities:

  • Help organize and follow-up with current customers
  • Maintains accurate records
  • Work with QuickBooks Online and Desktop
  • Maintains and files client's daily paperwork such as invoices, bills, and forms to the proper location
  • Reconciles and records daily, weekly, and monthly financial transactions to include accounts receivable, accounts payable, sales tax, payroll and other financial transactional data, forms, and reports.
  • Prioritizes work to meet deadlines
  • Answer incoming calls promptly, and practices excellent phone and email etiquette
  • Improve general workflows and processes to accommodate business growth
  • Responds to customer inquiries within the customer’s timeline.
  • Responsible for financial and administrative duties for a variety of clients
  • Perform other duties as assigned

Required Experience Skills & Knowledge:

  • Proficient knowledge in accounts receivable, accounts payable, payroll and general ledger responsibilities
  • Customer Service experience required
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing needs of department
  • Excellent problem solving and people skills also required
  • Must be able to work independently and in a team
  • High level of professionalism
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, and QuickBooks
  • Proficiency in working with all versions of QuickBooks. Experience with Thomson Reuters products - UltraTax, File Cabinet Solutions, Fixed Asset Solutions, Practice Solutions - is a plus

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $22.00 per hour
