FT Student Support and Accessibility Services Specialist (Grant Funded)
Job description
Position Classification: Full-Time Twelve (12) Month Faculty
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's Degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social work, Education or related field. Master's Degree preferred.
- Experience - Three (3) years experience working with special needs populations; familiarity with ADA law and post-secondary procedures preferred.
- Skills - Knowledgeable in working with adaptive technologies; strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot on behalf of the student; computer literacy with Microsoft office and databases.
Proctors testing for students that receive accommodations; proctors make-up testing and Placement testing for students; assists with the coordination of placement testing and make-up testing; monitors and assists students regarding the utilization and operation of technology including but not limited to the set-up of LCCC email and Self Service accounts; assists students with assistive technology when needed; research new products that pertain to assistive technology; provides advisement and registration assistance to students as needed especially during peak registration periods; provides support to the tutoring program as needed; provides support to staff and students with usage of Tutor Management system; provides Counselor of Accessibility Services support pertaining to CORE Programming, Peer mentor program, data tracking and other projects as needed; willingness to travel to other locations when necessary; must be willing to work flexible hours to include some evenings and weekends if necessary; performs other duties as assigned by the Director including but not limited to Outcomes Assessment reporting.
Entry Salary: $45,402.00/annualStandard Work Week: 35 hours
