FT Student Engagement Specialist (Grant Funded)
Job description
Position Classification: Full-Time Twelve (12) Month Faculty
Minimum Position Qualifications:
- Education - Bachelor's degree in Human Services, Psychology, Social Work, Education or related field. Master's Degree Preferred.
- Experience - Three (3) years experience in an educational environment.
- Skills - Excellent skills regarding technology usage; strong communication skills and ability to troubleshoot on behalf of the student; computer literacy with Microsoft office and databases.
Coordinates and proctors placement testing using both in person and online modalities; conducts regular uploading of scores from Accuplacer into Datatel software; provides training and troubleshooting support to faculty as needed regarding placement testing; applies $25.00 placement testing fee to student accounts, answer any questions about the fees and troubleshoots discrepancies as they arise between Accuplacer, students and other college departments and make any necessary adjustments; coordinates and proctors make-up testing; assists with testing for students with accommodations as needed; provides advisement and registration assistance to students as needed especially during peak registration periods; oversees tutoring program; including the recruitment, training, and supervision of student tutors; preparing documentation for payroll and maintaining accurate records; oversees and monitor and the usage of Tutor Management system; coordinates workshops and walk-in tutor sessions; performs other duties as assigned by the Director including but not limited to Outcomes Assessment reporting.
Entry Salary: $45,402.00/annualStandard Work Week: 35 hours
