Lake Grove ENT is a well-established, privately owned and operated, specialty Ear, Nose and Throat medical practice serving the community of Lake Oswego and the Portland Metro. Our team takes pride in our outstanding reputation for patient care, as much as the way we treat one another.

We are seeking to add a Front Office Receptionist to join our fantastic team welcoming, registering and scheduling patients. In this role, you will ensure that patients are received warmly and provided considerate, timely scheduling and communication.

On-the-job training including Epic electronic health record system will be provided.

A great attitude and work ethic are required, job-specific experience is not.

Duties include:

Welcoming patients

Scheduling and registration

Insurance verification

Document scanning

Inbound & outbound phone calls / faxes

Maintaining records of patient communication

Required Experience/Skills/Education:

HS diploma or greater

Dependable transportation

Superior customer service skills, polite demeanor and phone etiquette

General office computer literacy and typing proficiency

Beneficial Qualifications:

Medical practice or specific job-related experience

Working knowledge of area health plans

Epic EHR experience

Authorizations and referral experience

Job Duties:

This is a regular 8-hour shift. Weekdays only (no weekends)

  • Performing day-to-day front office operations – including (but not limited to) greeting patients with a friendly smile, monitoring patient check in/check out process, responding to patient inquiries and collecting payments.
  • Serving as a front-line point of contact for our patients, answering questions via phone, in-person and e-mail, and scheduling and confirming appointments.
  • Being a proactive and supportive teammate.
  • Demonstrate appropriate time management skills, prioritization, and task completion.
  • Ability to handle multiple assignment or pieces of work at one time. Ability to work under deadlines, pressures and interruptions.

Summary: Must have proficient typing/computer skills, ability to update insurance and payment-related issues to accounts. Accountable for the accuracy of information obtained through the different roles. Maintains good working relationships and communication with all members of the Lake Grove ENT team.

EDUCATION, TRAINING, AND EXPERIENCE:

HS Diploma or equivalent

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - 20.00 per hour
