My Auto Store is one of the largest used auto part stores on the East Coast. Every step of the process, from purchasing to disassembly and inspection, is performed in-house to guarantee we have the highest quality, lowest mileage auto parts available. We pride ourselves on providing our customers with quality parts and are proudly located in Philadelphia, PA and Camden, NJ.

As a part of our continued growth, My Auto Storeis looking for a dedicated, hardworking Loader Operator to join our team! The primary responsibilities of the loader operator is to properly load, unload, process and transport various vehicles and car parts on site. Our loading operatives play a critical role, they are seen as the ‘heart beat’ of the yard. Without them, we are restricted with the movement of our inventory. What you will be responsible for…

  • Safely unload haulers and transport vehicles securely to inventory area.
  • Safely load vehicles on to haulers that are ready for the next stage.
  • Support operations by safely bringing vehicles to dismantling department, and moving loads around the yard as directed.
  • Maintain a safe an orderly work area and insure the integrity of vehicles/inventory that is transported and stored.
  • Check load for balance and safely move it around the facility.
  • Conduct regular checks on machinery and work areas.
  • Follow specific work instructions and best practices to safely and accurately complete daily work assignments.
  • Participate in all assigned training programs and adhere to all guidelines.
  • Assist in various yard maintenance tasks, and equipment storage.
  • Check load for balance and safely move it around the facility to stack, unload or load and trucks.
  • Position lifting devices under, over, or around loaded pallets, skids, or boxes and secure material for transport to designated areas.
  • Manually or mechanically load or unload materials from pallets, skids, platforms or trucks.
  • Perform daily maintenance and safety inspection on loaders and auxiliary equipment.
  • Operate loading equipment by following proper health and safety protocol.
  • Complete all required daily equipment reports.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management.

Your background and skills will include…

  • High School Diploma and or relevant industry experience
  • Knowledge of vehicles and parts, basic computer skills, willingness to work in an outdoors environment.
  • Ability to be a team player and follow protocol guidelines.
  • Ability to meet attendance schedule with dependability and consistency.
  • Previous heavy equipment operation, general maintenance, and understanding of mechanical equipment.
  • Knowledge of vehicles mechanical, electrical and electronic components.
  • The ability to adapt quickly to changes while ensuring tasks are safely and efficiently completed with little or no supervision.
  • Physically able to stand or sit for long period of time and lift up to 50lbs.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.

Additional information and job demands:

Work is generally performed outdoors in all-weather elements such as hot, cold, rain, or snow. Sitting for long periods of time, frequent bending, climbing, moving and lifting up to 50 pounds may be required. While performing this job employee may be exposed to moving parts and moderate loud noise levels. Personal protective equipment is mandatory at all times. Working hours may vary and evening or weekend work may be required.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour
