The Grand Hotel of Cape May is looking for Front Desk Representative to serve as our guests’ first point of contact and manage all aspects of their reservation. Hotel Front Desk Agent responsibilities include booking reservations,registering guests, providing information about rooms, rates and amenities.

Job Responsibilities

• Make all guest feel welcome from time of booking to departure
• Welcome and greet all guest with a friendly smile and disposition
• Manage all online and phone reservations
• Perform all check-in and check-out procedures .
• Register guests collecting necessary information, payments ,assigning rooms and keys
• Welcome guests upon their arrival and assign rooms, make keys
• Provide information about our hotel, available rooms, rates and amenities
• Respond to clients’ concerns in a timely and professional manner
• Liaise with our housekeeping and maintenance to ensure all rooms are clean, tidy and fully-furnished to accommodate guests’ needs
• Up sell additional facilities and services
• Perform various duties as needed

Job requirements

• High school diploma or GED equivalent required
• Work experience as a Hotel Front Desk Agent, Receptionist or similar role preferred
• Experience using maestro is a plus .Understanding of how travel planning websites operates, like Booking and Expedia
• Excellent Customer service skills, and ability to work under pressure
• Excellent communication and organizational skills and ability to multi task
• Ability to stand for long period of time
• Personable and out going when dealing with guests
