Job Description : Hotel Front Desk Clerk

We are looking for great personalities to care for our valued guests. Our Guest Service Representatives are the hub of the hotel and provide a multitude of services to our guests, e.g. handling all phone calls, reservations, checking guests in and out of the hotel, settling guest accounts, dealing with requests and room assignments.

JOB REQUIREMENTS:Previous hotel experience is preferred but we will train the right individual. Knowledge of computers is needed along with familiarity with a keyboard. Ability to work weekends and some holidays expected. Prefer 7a-3p / 3p-11p availability.

  • Abide and Adhere to all G6 Hospitality Policies
  • Greet guests and patrons as they arrive
  • Manage the registration process
  • Handle guest check-ins and check-outs appropriately
  • take calls and provide information and transfer calls
  • Manage accurate accounting of all rooms
  • Provide guests with room keys
  • Take reservations over the telephone and in person
  • Answer queries regarding the hotel's services, charges, dining facilities, sports facilities and travel directions
  • Refer guests to appropriate departments to resolve complaints or provide suggestions
  • Computer bills and take payments
  • Provide guests with directions around the hotel
  • Able to attend and resolve in a positive manner to Guest complaints and concerns
  • Contact housekeeping and maintenance departments when a problem is reported
  • Explain appropriate use of keys and ensure that guests are satisfied with the rooms allotted to them
  • Balance cash at the end of the shift and generate accounting reports for the benefit of the next shift.
  • Acquire problem solving skills
  • Be able to organize and handle group reservations

QualificationsMinimum Experience, Education, Skill & Physical Requirements:

  • Must have a high school diploma or equivalent Previous hotel experience is required; supervisory experience preferred Must be flexible in hours and days worked Must be proficient in the use of common Windows-based programs, including Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook Must display very good organization and time management skills Must have excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to interact with many types of personalities Must have sound judgment and directional skills and be able to work with little supervision Must be able to consistently work under pressure and simultaneously prioritize multiple projects Must be able to work with sensitive and confidential material Must be able to stand for long periods of time Must be able to lift 25 – 50 lbs. and carry up to 10 lbs. Must have sound judgment and directional skills and be able to work with little or no supervision Must be available to work all shifts as needed
