To thrive as a Foreperson II you must be able to provide supervision and guidance to warehouse workers. Coordinate the safe and productive daily functioning of the warehouse in the shipment of orders. You must enforce proper procedures regarding logging, storage, and loading or unloading of incoming inventory.
Essential Functions
- Supervise the warehouse staff to ensure proper stock rotation
- Delegate and prioritize the picking of customer orders
- Ensure that all orders are shipped on time with the correct products
- Coordinate all shipping and receiving functions with trucking company representatives and the Corporate Transportation Department
- Release customer orders in the system “PGI”
- Participate and Execute CI initiatives
Experience/Education
- Educational attainment equivalent to high school graduation
- Considerable stock control and warehousing experience
- Work in a lead or supervisory capacity
Knowledge/Skills/Abilities
- Possess a clear understanding of supervisory principles and techniques
- Ability to communicate effectively
- Ability to organize and delegate orders to meet deadlines and to coordinate shipping of products on time
- Ability to demonstrate the operation and use of forklift, deep reach, lift truck, pallet rider, shrink wrap machine
- Ability to train warehouse center staff
- Possess extensive knowledge of warehouse equipment set-up operations and preventative maintenance
- ERP or Inventory Management System Experience is a plus
Here’s what we offer you:
- Forepersons start at $21/hr. Team members will receive a $1/hr increase at 6 months of employment and another $1.50/hr increase at one year of employment.
