Structural Technologies is the exclusive licensee of VSL® post-tensioning systems in the United States. Structural Technologies is the single source for VSL® products and technical support in the United States - which have been used throughout the world since 1956 to build, repair and strengthen bridges, buildings, tanks, and special structures.

We are currently recruiting for a Foreman to be based out of our Dallas, TX. As Foreman for Structural Technologies, you will be responsible for leading construction crews that make our nation’s structures stronger and last longer. Projects typically consist of post-tension installation, repair, and inspection in commercial, civil, and industrial settings.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• On-site working supervision of field crews. Work items may include: chipping concrete for repair work, layout and installation of cables and duct for new construction, stressing and grouting of PT cables, confined space inspection work and slab modifications.
• Assisting Project Managers in developing project schedules and ensuring work is completed safely, on time, and according to plans and specifications
• Completing daily field reports, labor and quantity tracking, tool and equipment maintenance, and coordinating with other trades
• Ensuring crews are operating tools and equipment in a safe, proper and productive manner
• Regular communication on-site with clients, general contractors, and inspectors

Candidates who meet the following criteria may be considered for this position:

• High school degree or equivalent
• 7+ years of experience in general construction with at least 3 of those years in a Leadman or similar position
• Proven ability to supervise up to 4 field technicians with minimal oversight
• Demonstrated ability to read, interpret and execute to construction drawings and contract specifications
• Established commitment to safety
• Proven experience to produce look-ahead schedules and work with other construction documents as required by the project
• Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively with the customer, crew, and project teams
• Basic computer and construction math skills

Extensive travel is required for this position. The role will not require going into the office daily, as work location is nearly always jobsite-based. Much of our work is located in the DC metro area, but we also work throughout the northeast and Midwest. As the work requires, you may be on the road for several weeks at a time on out-of-town projects. As we are a specialty subcontractor, many of our projects are short-duration and schedules change frequently.
