Our client is a long-established and newly renovated hospital. We are searching for Food Service Workers to join our client’s main operation, located in Glendale.

As the Food Service Worker, you will be the staff in the cafeteria. You will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of hot and/or cold foods and properly storing the food utilizing knowledge of temperature requirements.

You will also:

· Estimate food requirements

· Using kitchen materials to measure, weigh, mix, peel, grind, cut, strain, stir, season, and knead foodstuffs for cooking, servicing, and storing

· Inspect workstations for compliance standards

· Keeping records of supplies

· Stocking the service area

· Clean and sanitize workstations

· Set up stations with entrees, soups, salads, condiments, breads, and other food products

· Break down stations at the end of the meal periods

· Occasionally restocking other beverage areas

· Other duties as assigned.

Please keep in mind that you will be required to attend allergy and foodborne illness in-service training, as well as other training programs as designated.

This is a variable shift position. You will be given a schedule every week. You will start no earlier than 5 am, and no later than 8 pm.

This is a Monday-to-Friday position. However, all candidates must be open to working weekends, nights, and holidays if needed.

To be qualified for this position, this is what we will be looking for:

· You have a high school diploma, GED, or equivalent experience

· You present yourself in a highly professional manner

· You maintain a positive attitude

· You communicate well and can work in a team-based setting

· You know how to use a computer

· You have basic food-handling skills

· Preferably, you have a food handler’s certificate

· You are flexible and able to work a variable schedule

· You MUST be able to work nights, weekends, and some holidays.
