Position Title: Food Production Assistant Manager

Reports To: COO & Production Manager

Department: Production

Bang Cookies is looking to fulfil a supervisor position at its production facility in New Jersey! This is a part time position that can turn into full time.

Description

This position oversees the entire spectrum of the production of our baked goods from procuring raw materials to producing and storing the baked merchandise. Candidate will be required to critically think to problem solve and participate with the team. It is a demanding job that requires physical strength (lift up to 50lb of weight). No job is too small and will require the person to actively engage with the team's work.

Responsibilities:

• Supervise daily the ongoing running of the factory, its outputs, its approval product, and its employees.
• Help the production manager develop, implement, and evaluate workflow and work products.
• Learn and eventually oversee the training of production employees to ensure a competent workforce.
• Assist in reading and analyzing data with the manager and provide solutions to manufacturing challenges or problems through the "Toyota Production Systems"
• Gather information with the production manager and help prepare weekly productivity reports in relation to Production and its efficiencies.
• Assist and coordinate with production team members within the production area on a variety of issues, tasks, and projects.
• Liaise with the quality assurance protocols to ensure product quality and specification are consistent.
• Oversee the procurement of raw materials and equipment required for manufacturing with the logistics and production manager.

Requirements:

• Bilingual (Spanish & English) a must
• Bachelor’s Degree or
• 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing environment is a plus
• Ability to create and improve existing stable manufacturing environment through understanding of customer demand and production capacity and creating direct flow where possible
• Experience driving Operational Excellence (Six Sigma) initiatives is a plus
• Demonstrated ability to provide an engaging work environment
• Excellent interpersonal skills and ability to manage conflict to a resolution
• Strong attention to detail and ability to stay organized
• Ability to commute, Driver License is a plus
• Will eventually require Servsafe and OSHA (PMC a huge plus)
• Ability to take on new duties as they emerge

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $18.00 - $20.00 per hour

• Carlstadt, NJ 07072: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Required)
